Our 27 hole championship golf course is a beautiful asset here at The Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort all year round but do you know what time of year it is painted in appeal? Autumn! Rolling off of a beautiful summer with great course conditions, average temperatures in the 80’s with only a few super hot days and right into Fall! The changing season is now upon us and we welcome it more with every new shade of orange and red we see. It is a spectacular time of year to be out on our island course with fewer golfers about so you can take the time to soak in the beauty of the fall foliage around while you work on your game. The whole community embraces this time of year so if you’re looking for something to add on to your fall golf getaway, keep an eye out for events such as the Pocono Cupcake Challenge and the Rodeo and Chili Cookoff both held in September as well as the Autumn Timber Festival and Pocono Food Truck Festival held in November at Shawnee Mountain just a few miles up the road. So grab a light jacket and book your tee time, the mild temperatures and falling leaves make the perfect setting for fall golf.
For those who don’t mind playing a round when the temperatures drop a little lower, mark your calendars for “Free” golf (free green fees & $25 cart fee) starting November until the close of the 2014 golf season.
