Poconos Golf

Located on the grounds of The Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort, our Shawnee Island Course is the crown jewel of our property. It was completed in 1910, a year before the Inn was built, and is A.W. Tillinghast’s first-ever design. (View Score Card)

24 of our 27 holes are located on an island in the middle of the Delaware River. Our beautiful island course guarantees that there are no distractions from the outside world. No roads, homes, or buildings – just pure golf.

Our course has tee-to-green irrigation, ensuring the best Pocono golf conditions possible.

The Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort boast a long line of greats who’ve played our championship courses, including Walter Hagen, Sam Snead, Arnold Palmer, Lawson Little, Long Jim Barnes, and Johnny Farrell.

Pocono Golf Instruction

From individual lessons to golf camp, golf professionals will ensure your maximize your potential and improve your swing at the Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort.

Pocono Junior Golf

Introduce your kids to golf at the area’s most successful junior golf facility. From expert instruction to special junior rates, youth golfers develop important and valuable lifelong skills at The Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort.

Shawnee’s Junior Instruction Program, led by Brian Bergstol, has produced several high school district champions and collegiate athletes.

Juniors (16 & younger) play free with paying adult:
Monday – Friday: after 4:30 pm
Saturday & Sunday: after 5:00 pm

Shawnee Country Club

Enjoy plenty of member perks and benefits when you become a Shawnee Country Club member. Our Pocono golf course encompasses 27 holes of championship golf designed by A.W. Tillinghast.

Practice Facility

Designed by golf architect Tom Doak and situated on the beautiful grounds of The Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort, the Tillinghast Chip n’ Putt offers 6 par 3 holes of varying length.

The Practice Facility is perfect for early evening or after dinner recreation. Each of the holes are modeled after the greens and bunkering of other famous Tillinghast-designed courses, including the San Francisco Golf Club, Winged Foot and Baltusrol.

The Practice Facility is included with your overnight stay at The Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort.

Shawnee Driving Range

Our Pocono driving range is 250 yards long and is architecturally designed with a few bunkers and target greens by Tom Doak.

Regular pricing per bucket of balls: $7 small, $12 medium, and $15 large.

Halfway House

Grab a drink or light snack during your round of Pocono golf at our Halfway House.

Frequently Asked Questions:

The Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort requires ‘Resort Attire’ while on the golf course. Slacks, shorts, skirts (for women), and collared shirts are acceptable forms of attire. We ask that players do not wear denim, cut-offs, t-shirts, or tank tops.

Yes, The Shawnee Golf Resort has its own 250-yard driving range.
