This area is only available to guests of the Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort and out River Trips. Public, Shawnee residents, Wyndham owners and guests may use the access at Smithfield Beach, but loading and/or unloading at Shawnee launch is prohibited.

The indoor pool is only available to the guests of the Inn. The indoor pool is not for use by Wyndham guests and owners.

The minimum age to make a reservation at The Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort is 21 years of age and one registered adult must be present – throughout the entire stay. A valid driver’s license or another form of identification are required at check-in.

A late check-out fee is a fee charged for checking out later than the time indicated on a hotel’s check-out policy. Requests for a late check-out time at The Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort are honored based on room availability at a fee of $20 an hour. Please check with the Front Desk for availability.

Early Departure Fees are fees issued due canceling remaining days on a reservation as a result of an early check-out. Departing prior to your scheduled check-out day incurs a minimum fee of one night plus tax, up to the cost of the full length of stay. Packages and package elements are not refundable.

The safety and security of our guests and staff are important to the management and ownership of Shawnee. This policy is designed for the protection of our guests and staff and pertains to the presence of firearms on resort premises. The resort prohibits guests or visitors from carrying weapons on the resort premises. We recognize that guests or visitors may legally possess firearms for a variety of legitimate purposes. This policy is intended to create a safe environment for all guests and visitors by providing appropriate guidance over the custody of firearms on our premises. The resort premises are private property. Guests or visitors who lawfully are permitted to possess a firearm, we strongly discourage bringing any weapon on the property, and if a guest is so inclined it may be for storage purposes only. Any guest or visitor who is in possession of a firearm on resort premises is personally responsible for abiding by all applicable federal, state and local laws with respect to firearms, and ensuring that the firearm is: unloaded; secured in a locked, hard-sided firearm container provided by the guest; and securely safeguarded at all times in a guest room (or personal vehicle), except when transporting the firearm into or out of the resort. Guests who fail to abide by this policy may be asked to leave the resort premises. An exception to the restrictions described in this policy statement applies only to law enforcement officers and designated military personnel, who are on-duty and required to carry firearms in the performance of their duties. No exemption to this policy is allowed for private persons, even those licensed and permitted to carry a firearm, and/or where applicable, to conceal-carry a firearm.

The hotel is not responsible for loss, damage or theft of cash, jewelry or other valuables left unattended in guest rooms. Safe deposit boxes are available for the safekeeping of these items. The hotel’s liability regarding items in the safe deposit box is limited to the equivalent of the rate of a one night stay.

Bonfires are only permitted in a designated fire pit on the North Lawn or Grand Lawn or in a resort provided portable fire pit. No outside portable fire pits are permitted. Guest campfires are scheduled regularly; please see our recreation department or recreation schedule for days and times. For safety and security reasons, no bonfires are to be lit by guests or visitors to the resort at any time. Private bonfires must be arranged in advance through the Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort sales office at extension 1405. A charge will apply. All bonfires must be completed by 1:00 am 12:00 am on the Grand Lawn or in portable fire pits. No additional firewood will be provided after 11:30 pm. It is not permitted to burn anything in the fire but approved wood. In the event you have an unapproved bonfire, use unapproved wood or use fireworks on resort grounds, you will be charged $150.00 plus damages, and may be asked to leave without a refund. WE ALSO KINDLY ASK THAT YOU DO NOT BRING YOUR OWN GRILL TO THE RESORT. PRIVATE GRILLING IS NOT PERMITTED IN ANY AREA OF THE PROPERTY. PLEASE SEE OUR CONCIERGE OR FRONT DESK FOR AREAS THAT YOU MAY GRILL NEARBY. Thank you! For safety reasons and with respect to other guests, fireworks are NOT permitted anywhere on resort grounds.

A resort fee is an extra charge levied upon guests of lodging facilities that offer resort services and amenities. The Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort does not have a resort fee. We pride ourselves on offering transparent pricing and exceptional service. Many amenities and services are included with your stay at The Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort at no additional cost. Many resorts charge guests hidden fees to help pay for full-service amenities. The Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort charges no hidden service fees.

The Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort is a small family-owned destination with 103 guest rooms and 8 restaurants & eateries.  Our River Room Restaurant is located in the Main Inn and is open for breakfast and dinner. Charlie’s Bar is located in the Main Inn and is open for lunch. The fare at the River Room Restaurant and Charlie’s Bar offers a variety of dishes ranging from chicken to steak to pasta.  Also on our property is The Gem and Keystone Tavern featuring house-made sauces and dressings and a wood-fired grill.  The ShawneeCraft Brewing Company operates a traditional wood-fired Neapolitan pizzeria.  Our 28th Hole is located adjacent to the Golf Shop and is open seasonal and weather permitting for al fresco dining. The Halfway House is located on Shawnee’s Golf Island, is open seasonally, and serves gourmet grilled items, drinks, and snacks. The Buckwood Café offers coffees, iced coffees, smoothies, and pastries.  The Eagle’s Outpost Snack Shack is located at Shawnee River Trips serving gourmet grilled items, drinks, and snacks. Room service is also available during River Room dining hours.

The Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort offers overnight guests a robust schedule of planned activities and entertainment. Guided hikes, historic tours, golf cart tours, brewery tours, archery, campfire and s’mores, and hayrides are only a few of the activities available for overnight guests to book at The Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort. The Shawnee Inn hosts Tuesday Night Concerts. The ShawneeCraft Brewery hosts an Open Mic on Thursdays and live music Friday and Saturday. The Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort’s packages are already set at a discounted rate providing savings to our guests. If you are not on a package and show your AAA or AARP card we will give a 10% discount on your room during non-holiday periods.

The Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort offers overnight guests high-speed WiFi. There is no charge for WiFi at the resort.

We are required to ensure the responsible consumption of alcoholic beverages while guests are staying at our historic resort.  Outside food and beverages are not permitted at our resort. Should outside food and beverages be brought in, it will be removed. Coolers may not be brought in and placed in the lobby, on the Veranda, front lawn, etc… We appreciate your cooperation. All food and beverage must be purchased from the Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort. If you are here with a group, alcoholic beverages purchased for consumption in your hospitality room must remain within that designated room. We ask that your group not walk the halls carrying open containers or carry beverages from your hospitality room, opened or unopened, into public rooms; i.e. dining room, lobby, veranda, hallways, etc. Outside food, beverages, or coolers are also not permitted on the golf course. Our starters and rangers have been instructed to remove these items.

Currently, cannabis remains illegal in Pennsylvania. If someone legally purchases cannabis in New York or New Jersey it still is a crime to possess, consume, grow, or sell marijuana in Pennsylvania. Medical marijuana is legal for approved medical patients in Pennsylvania. They are legally allowed to obtain and use cannabis with proper patient certification.  This cannot be smoked in buildings that have a no smoking policy (like The Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort). Smoking and/or Vaping: Smoking and/or vaping of any substance (tobacco, cannabis, or e-juice) is not permitted on any property owned and operated by The Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort.  This includes outdoor spaces such as the Veranda and fire escapes of the main Inn. We request that any smoking and/or vaping is done a minimum 20 feet from any entrance to a building. Please respect our non-using guests by adhering to this distance. Consequences: Violation of any component of this policy will result in a $250.00 fine applied to the guestroom.

For guests that are on a dining package, a gratuity is included for meals. However, any additional gratuity is welcome if you feel you have received exceptional service.

Comfortable clothing and shoes – We offer a variety of recreational options throughout the day, so you will need comfortable clothes and shoes. You may also want to include a pair of hiking boots if you plan on enjoying some of our scenic hikes (helpful but not necessary). Bathing suit and cover up – Our indoor swimming pool and riverfront beach are great for swimming laps, aerobic workouts, and relaxing. A hat and sunscreen – Keep the sun off of your face and conceal the bad hair days with a hat. Bring some sunscreen, too. A good book – Current magazines and daily newspapers are available, but you might want to bring a copy of that book you have wanted to read for months but just can’t seem to get to.

The Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort requires ‘Resort Attire’ while on the golf course and in our dining areas. Slacks, shorts, skirts (for women), and collared shirts are the acceptable forms of attire. We ask that players do not wear denim, cut-offs, t-shirts, or tank tops. Any guest that fails to comply with the stated dress code will be asked to change into the proper attire prior to golfing or dining.

Pets are not allowed in any of the resort accommodations.

The Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged cards or any unauthorized card use. Payment information is taken upon confirming your reservation. Full payment of reservation is charged to your form of payment 24-hours prior to your arrival. This policy was updated 5/7/2020 in an effort to make our check-in process as touch-less as possible to prevent the spread of the Covid19 Virus.

All major credit cards, travelers’ checks, and cash are accepted on The Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort.

The Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort levies no penalty if you cancel at least 48 hours prior to your arrival date and time of check-in (4 pm). Guests who booked a non-refundable rate and paid full price upon time of reservation are not subject to a refund for cancelations.

Check-in time at The Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort is 4 pm EST (Eastern Standard Time). Your room will be ready for you by 4 pm. Please arrive earlier and begin participating in activities. We will store your bags at the Guest Services desk while you enjoy the activities. Shower and bathroom facilities are available for you during this time until your room is ready. Check-out time at The Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort is 11 am EST. This does not mean your time with Shawnee must end. We will store your bags at Guest Services until you are ready to have them loaded into your car. Please return room keys to Guest Services no later than 11 am EST. There is no refund for early departure.
