So this is the New Year! We are at the twilight of 2012 and it seems like I just got used to writing a “12” at the end of the date. My how the time is flying. How was your 2012? Were you able to stick with your resolutions? Last New Years Eve marked the first-ever Winter Carnival at Shawnee. We celebrated the New Year with traditional brass music, games, caroling, hay rides, and ice carving. And best of all, the celebration had no cost to attend.
Shawnee has made the Winter Carnival a Shawnee Tradition and it will take place again this New Years Eve starting at 10:00 am with horse drawn sleigh rides (weather dependant) followed buy ice carving, music and a much more. In following last year’s tradition, the Winter Carnival will have no cost to attend – complimentary Hot Chocolate included!
We look forward to another wonderful year at Shawnee. It has been our pleasure to serve you, our guests, for over a century and we look forward to another 100 years of fun and serenity. Thank you for sharing your special days with us.
