“Happy Trails: Country Classics”

This is the fourth year Gerard & Diane Barros have been a part of the Shawnee Inn Concert series. For the past 3 years, they have presented tribute shows to Carole King and Carly Simon. This year, they are happy to bring us “Happy Trails: Country Classics.” This program gives us a unique mix of vintage County Western hits from the 1950s thru the 1980s. Gerard & Diane will be covering music by such artists as Linda Ronstadt, Patsy Cline, Johnny & June Carter Cash, Loretta Lynn, Eddie Rabbitt, Tanya Tucker, Willie Nelson & more!

Gerard and Diane Barros are a unique husband and wife / keyboard and guitar duo, specializing in 2-part harmonies. They will instantly sweep you back in time with audience favorites throughout the decades. They use an “old school duo” approach to playing instruments and singing live, with no prerecorded or computerized tracks. Diane’s vocals and percussion are accompanied by Gerard’s harmonies, while he plays right-handed keyboard, left-handed bass and works the drum machine with his foot. A portion of the show even consists of Gerard playing acoustic guitar along with Diane’s hand percussion, as they harmonize to many of the great hits of the past.

Community Concerts are Shawnee’s gift to the community. Concerts are held rain or shine. Donations to the artist are greatly appreciated.
