Monday, September 19, 2016 (Shawnee on the Delaware, Pennsylvania) – The Shawnee Country Club and Great Bear Golf Club, officially announce that they will merge into one membership, allowing golfers to play both courses when joining the new country club. Established in 1910, the 27-holes at Shawnee boast a long line of golfing greats including Walter Hagan, Sam Snead, and Arnold Palmer to name a few. The club recently announced the 2017 Shawnee Country Club Membership will include Great Bear, an 18-hole Jack Nicklaus Signature Design. One membership now encompasses the two beautiful and unique Pocono Mountain courses.
