Making Better Use of Daylight

Although the top of this communiqué clearly brandishes “February Newsletter” it is important to note that Daylight Savings Time is less than a month away.  On March 9th, 2014, we will officially be welcoming the sun back into our lives for another six months.  What does that mean for Shawnee?  We’re ramping up our outdoor activities and amenities for the season.

Our Recreation Director has been working very hard this winter developing an expanded outdoor activity plan.  Favorites like hiking on the McDade and Appalachian Trails and nightly s’mores campfires will be accompanied with new activities including Archery, expanded trail exploration and so much more!  Be prepared for a wonderful outdoor experience at Shawnee when you arrive this season.  Did we mention that most of our activities are complimentary for Shawnee’s overnight guests?

Our River Trips staff is busy getting ready for a warm spring and hot summer on the nationally designated Wild and Scenic Delaware River.  Our river-front location affords us not only the best views of the Delaware River, but the greatest access.  As guests of the Shawnee Inn, you only have to step off of our grand veranda and stroll across our front lawn to arrive at Shawnee’s River Trips headquarters.  From there, our staff provides seamless access to several river trip adventures on one of our country’s most pristine and treasured rivers.

Can you sense the excitement here at Shawnee!?!  We have so many breathtaking outdoor wonderlands.  It is so gratifying to share paradise with our guests.
