Many of our guests know the River Room Restaurant and Bar located just off the lobby in the Main Inn. You probably even had breakfast, lunch, or dinner there at some point during your stay. However, the next time you visit, it’s going to look and feel a little different. It will also offer a brand new menu, that our guests helped inspire!
The River Room and Bar were one of many changes recently made at the resort in the past few weeks. The ShawneeCraft expanded beer garden, the new deck at The Gem and Keystone, and the many additional outdoor seating arrangements that you will find around the resort, all are items we believe our guests can and will safely enjoy.
Your Opinion Mattered
We asked many of our past guests their opinion on cuisine choice. After tallying the answers, it was easy to see what our guests desired. So we set to work on a menu and design that would delight the masses.
The River Room Goes Italian
Our Italian inspired menu at this historic family-owned resort is like eating a home-cooked meal. From the moment you enter the River Room, an aroma of fresh Italian baked bread, herbs, and olive oil delight your senses to prepare you for an outstanding experience. A well-chosen wine list and our own craft beer are a great compliment to your meal.
When you enter the River Room you will notice the freshly painted walls, the new seating arrangements, and simple decor. However, there is one thing that hasn’t changed…the view!
Enjoy a Drink at Charlie’s Bar
This family-owned resort has named the bar in the main Inn after it’s Patriarch, Charlie. The cocktail menu is a playful take on the classics and highlights a Gin cocktail that honors his wife, Ginny. The beer is from our own on-site craft brewery, and the atmosphere is unpretentious, approachable, gracious, and fun – just like Charlie himself.
Socially Safe Dining
Both Charlie’s Bar and The River Room have generously spaced seating, and the bar is now separate from the dining room. In fact, you can even grab a drink from the bar window while you are in the lobby!
