Shawnee’s Ten Years of Tenors

Friday, January 23, 2008 (Shawnee on Delaware, Pennsylvania) — The Three Tenors are returning to The Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort on Saturday January 24, 2009 making their extravaganza a tradition spanning ten years.

National and International opera stars Garry Grice, Paul McIlvane, and Thomas Poole have performed with the New York City Opera, the Warsaw Symphony, the Bavarian State Opera, the Washington Opera, the San Francisco Opera, and Italy’s Spoleto Festival. The Tenors will be accompanied by concert pianist Hugh Kronrot.

The Three Tenor’s performance boasts a bold, bright program of music. Broadway hits, Songs of the Sea, traditional Irish favorites, spirited Neapolitan Songs, and famous Opera arias featuring the all-time classic Questo E Quella.

The Three Tenors entertaining and enjoyable show is always one of the highlights of the winter season at Shawnee.

A “Taste of Italy” dinner will accompany the performance and includes: fresh organic mixed greens salad, warm rolls and butter, choice of baked chicken pasta and stuffed veal chops for entrées, sides, and a dessert of tirimasu.

The event will take place in Shawnee’s grand Worthington Ballroom. Dinner begins at 6:00 pm. The Three Tenors are scheduled to perform at 8:00 pm. The cost to attend is $50.00 per person for both dinner and show and $20.00 per person for show-only tickets. Reservations are strongly recommended.
