Many of our guests and community members have come to rely on Shawnee and our seasonal traditions year after year to create their own holiday memories. 2020 is no exception! We’ve found ways to keep everyone safe while still enjoying these special seasonal activities and events. We have even added some new seasonal activities and events that may just stick around and become Shawnee Traditions themselves.
New for 2020 Winter Season
Christmas Light Walk
Running daily (for light walk only) November 26 through December 27th 5pm – 10pm.
Enjoy this open air and spacious walk which starts at the main fire pit on the Grand Lawn. Follow the trail of lighted trees and end in the Yuletide Pavilion, take pictures in front of the tree and antique sleigh.
Throughout this riverside walk there are lighted trees, Yule log fire pits (lit from 5pm – 9pm Thursday through Saturday), music, lights, and breathtaking views of the Delaware River and our historic Inn.
The Yuletide Pavilion features an antique sleigh, lighted tree, holiday decorations, socially distanced visits with Santa (Friday & Saturday – 5pm – 7pm), and a Pop-up to go bar (Friday & Saturday – 5pm – 7pm).

This year’s Mother’s Day Brunch will take place on Sunday, May 9, 2021 from 11am to 3pm in the Worthington Ballroom. Menu includes soup, salad, breakfast station, entrees and side dishes, carving station, children’s options and dessert! We will adhere to strict Covid-19 safety guidelines, and advanced reservations are required. The Trinity Centennial Band performs holiday tunes in Worthington Ballroom for the holiday community concert series, a Shawnee Tradition. Concerts are family friendly and appropriate for all ages. Donations to the performers are gratefully accepted. Enjoy Shawnee's gift to the community! Brought to you by the Shawnee Institute Ltd, a non-profit foundation. Limited space for this indoor show. The Downtown Jimmy Brown Duo takes the stage for the Jolly Beer Mile! “Downtown” Jimmy Brown is a professional musical entertainer based out of Stroudsburg, PA, as well as Senior Music Editor of Guitar World magazine in New York City. He has a highly appealing solo act that nearly qualifies as a “one-man-band”—guitar, vocal and live percussion performed with both feet—and plays regularly all around the greater Stroudsburg area. Also, has a duo act and The Jimmy Brown Band.

The Village Sxophone Quartet takes the stage for the holiday community concert series. The Village Saxophone Quartet has established a reputation for musical excellence and versatility. Kings of Queen Street take the stage for the annual Ugly Sweater Party! The Kings of Queen Street specialize in acoustic covers and tight harmonies. Started in 2017 as the duo of Doug Malefyt and Pete Wilson, they soon added Amanda Parrish, whose smooth vocals bring a perfect harmonic blend to their appearances in the Poconos.
Don your favorite ugly apparel at the annual ShawneeCraft Ugly Sweater Christmas party. The night will include live music by Kings of Queen Street from 6pm to 9pm, and contests with prizes - including the ugliest sweater!
