Please honor that The Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort cannot make dog sledding reservations or properly answer your questions. Please reach out directly to Arctic Paws for information and reservations.

About Dog Sledding with Arctic Paws

All of the tours start as a no snow tour. What is a no snow tour? You come along with the Huskies as they go out on a training run. When there is not enough snow this is the only way to meet the Huskies. There are no sleds on a no snow tour, however the Huskies are highly active and behave the same way they would with the snow sled. You can find out more information about a no snow tour here.

If we have confirmed enough snow, your tour will automatically become a sled tour. Dog sledding tours are bumpy and physical with fresh snow on the trails. It is not a ride, and requires physical participation from our guests. You must be flexible, quick on your feet, agile, in good physical condition, and be able to follow the instructions given by the tour guides. Complete attention is required while acting as the driver (musher) or sitting in the basket of the sled.

All guests must be over the age of 8, and able to follow the instructions given as well. Children 12 and older may be able to mush the sled, but only at the discretion of the tour guides.

Tours are open to the public and to guests of the Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort.  Guests of The Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort will receive a discounted rate for sledding, but must provide room confirmation number at the time of reserving dog sledding to receive the discount.
