How We Met... Rich and I met at Delaware Valley College in the Fall of 2001 but after a 'not so good' introduction, we proceeded with college in opposite directions. Between the years of 2001-2006, we weren't friends nor did we really even know each other. |
Bride's Info: Jackie attended Delaware Valley College, Class of 2005. She is currently working at Delaware Valley College as the Director of Alumni Relations. Jackie is a huge fan of all sports; loves to play and coach softball and field hockey and always looks forward to the summertime to kick back with a few drinks with friends and family! Groom's Info: Rich attended Delaware Valley College, Class of 2002. He is currently working for Camelot Schools of PA in Philadelphia as well as coaching football at DVC. Rich spends most of his time working and playing football but always makes time to lay back and relax with friends and family...also over a few drinks! Wedding Party... In May 2006, through the crazy world of MySpace (yes, sounds awful!) we 'friended' each other and began talking over the computer. One thing led to another and I took him up on his offer to go out on a date; it was a blast and will forever remember it! We hit it off and there was no turning back.
Rich was busy with football from August until November so we pushed off my birthday gift until the end of November. We booked a room for the weekend at a bed and breakfast in the Poconos; we were both so excited just to get away! Once we got to our room, we were so tired that we decided to order Italian take out, turn on the fireplace and watch some college football. We were just relaxing when Rich started getting all sentimental; I thought nothing of it and just told him, 'I love you too!' Then, I noticed his hands were behind his back and he was playing with something, but I still didn't think a ring. He brought his hands out from behind his back with a beautiful ring and asked me to spend the rest of my life with him; I was in complete shock! After a few quick tears and making sure he was serious, I quickly said 'yes!' He tells everyone that was the first time in my life I was speechless and he is absolutely right! |

The Rehearsal... Riverside BBQ will start at 6:00pm at The Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort for the bridal party and immediate family; Dress is casual. Park your car on Friday and party until early Sunday morning!
The ceremony will be held on the Front Lawn of The Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort at 3:00 pm. In case of inclement weather, the ceremony will be on the Veranda. The cocktail party will follow the ceremony on the Veranda between 4:00pm - 5:00pm. |
