How We Met... We knew each other in high school but didn't run in the same circles. We met up again at our 10 year reunion in the Summer of 2004, and also ran into each other over the following holiday season. Since Jeff lived in New Jersey and I was living in Stroudsburg, he would visit me on the weekends and it took off from there. |

Bride's Info: Rebecca attended Shippensburg University where she obtained her B.S in Criminal Justice, Juvenile Concentration in 1998 and M.S in Administration of Justice in 2004. She worked with at risk kids and families for over 8 years and had enough. Rebecca currently works as an Office Manager for York Street Capital Partners and has found her dream job. In her free time she likes camping, canoeing and sitting by the fire with friends and family. Groom's Info: Jeff obtained his degree in Wildlife and Fisheries Science from Penn State - GO PSU!! He currently works as a Project Manager for Brennan Environmental, Inc. and also loves his job. He is a huge sports fan. Jeff takes good care of Rebecca and her cats! |
The Engagement... Jeff took me to a Bed and Breakfast for an early Valentine's Day (he was going to Florida golfing the following weekend). I was completely impressed with Bed & Breakfast and more impressed with the dinner and wine he selected. However, the wine started to get us lightheaded so we went back to the room to rehydrate. He was sitting on a bench at the end of the bed and I thought he was sitting down because the wine got to him. I turned around to give him some water....and then I saw the ring. I laughed at first because I was happy he wasn't sick, and of course said YES! |

The Wedding... The ceremony will be held on the Front Lawn of the Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort at 5:00 pm. In case of inclement weather the ceremony will be held in the River Sanctuary. There will be a cocktail party following the ceremony at 6:00 pm on the Veranda of The Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort. There will be a tented reception on the Front Lawn of the Shawnee Inn starting at 7:00 pm.
Casual & comfortable dress is recommended. There will be a tent reception on the front lawn. It can be cool in the evening on the river. Please consider inclement weather and grass terrain when planning what to wear. Ladies, I recommend wide heels, flats or flip flops. A block of rooms has been reserved at Shawnee Inn and Resort*. If desired, friends and Bridal party can request The Delaware Lodge- It is a separate building from the main hotel, but has the privacy required for a late night crowd. There will be plenty of parking for all guests. Please contact the bride for a list of alternative hotels or Bed and Breakfasts in the area. *Discounted rooms will be available at Shawnee Inn |
