Tradition Nearing a Decade - The Three Tenors Return to Shawnee
Thursday January 3, 2007 (Shawnee on Delaware, Pennsylvania) – The Three Tenors have performed at Shawnee for nine years now. "The performance has been such a success that we were delighted to be able to provide audiences with another year of this wonderful entertainment," said Rob Howell, General Manager.
This year's annual dinner and concert will take place Saturday, January 19th. The Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort will present "An Evening with Three Tenors," in their grand Worthington Ballroom. Following dinner, operatic singers Garry Grice, Paul McIlvaine and Thomas Poole will entertain the audience with a night of listening enjoyment.
The dinner starts at 6 p.m. and features "A Taste of Italy" with the choice of two entrées. This year guests can choose between baked chicken pasta and stuffed veal chopped dishes. In addition to the entrées, audience members will be served a fresh organic salad, starch, vegetables, tiramisu, premium coffee, tea, and a glass of wine for guests ages 21 and over. The performance will begin at 8 pm and last until 10 pm.
This show consists of a 70-minute celebration of famous tenor songs and arias. These extraordinary tenors have thrilled audiences in New York, Munich, San Francisco, Cairo, New Orleans, Philadelphia, Taiwan, Calgary, Washington D.C., the Festival of Spoleto and Bermuda. The Three Tenor’s concert credits include the New York Philharmonic and the Symphony Orchestra of New Orleans, Milwaukee, Kansas City, Portland, Dayton and Annapolis.
The performer’s repertoire includes such famous tenor roles as Badames, Alfredo, Hoffman, Otello, Manrico and Don Jose.
Admission to the Three Tenors is $60.00 per person and includes the dinner, show, taxes and gratuity.
