September 11, 2007 (Shawnee on Delaware, Pennsylvania) –
Spa Shawnee, located in the historic Shawnee Inn and Golf
Resort, will be hosting the first annual Spa Week, showcasing
the elegance of natural products and services.
From apricot exfoliations
to honey and milk footbaths, everything that the spa uses
is taken straight from nature. As well as the ingredients,
there is a strong Asian inspiration involved in all of the
treatments. For instance, Spa Shawnee’s signature Sen
fusion massage is a Thai treatment that clears the energy
lines running throughout the body, very much like acupuncture.
The massages include individually prepared all natural essential
oils blended in preparation to release stress.
While there are an incredible
number of products available, spa manager Eve Bergeron chose
to utilize lines that are all natural and many that are organic.
Also, a lot of research and effort was invested into using
products with packages that are 100% recyclable.
There are many reasons why
Spa Shawnee decided to incorporate all natural product lines.
Natural products are of the highest quality. More than anything
else, Shawnee cares about employees and customers. Harsh chemicals
that reside in products that are not 100% natural can cause
an array of serious health risks for the salon and spa workers
that apply them. Everything from asthma to a slightly elevated
miscarriage rate has been attributed to the unnatural chemicals
that are used in other spas and salons.

be on Monday, September 24th thru Friday, September 28th,
from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. To launch off Spa Week, an open house
of the Spa will be hosted on Sunday, September 23rd from 12:00
pm to 5:00 pm. All guests who attend Spa Week will receive
50% off the daily-featured treatment and 30% off non-featured
treatments.
Each day Spa Shawnee will
introduce a new-featured treatment to be discounted. Monday
will feature massages, Tuesday - body treatments, Wednesday
- manicures and pedicures, Thursday - haircuts, and Friday
- facials. Also, individuals that schedule treatment during
the open house will get a complimentary goody bag of natural
spa products.
