Snead’s 2-Year Anniversary Party

Shawnee on Delaware, Pennsylvania.   Come celebrate the 2nd Year Anniversary of the “Home of Great Steaks - Sam Snead’s Tavern” in Shawnee on Delaware, Pennsylvania. The festivities will be held all day on Tuesday, August 15 th and Wednesday, August 16 th, 2006.

David Ritz, General Manager of the Tavern, excitedly shares, “Everyone who comes in during our anniversary celebration will receive a Buy 1 Get 1 Meal Free offer of equal or lesser value and enjoy $1.50 draft beer specials".  The golf simulator and pool table will be free of charge all day too. The restaurant wants to thank the community for their support and positive buzz they have created about the tavern over the past two years.

Sam Snead’s Tavern is part of a fine chain of restaurants providing only the highest quality service, food and spirits. Snead’s is also anxious to show off their revamped menu. Not only does it have a new layout but it also has an array of novelty choices: Half Rack Ribs, Honey BBQ Wings, Sweet Heat Wings, 18 oz. Ribeye, and Oak Grilled Chicken Breast. Ritz, goes on to say “our commitment is to quality. We offer only Certified Angus Beef, fresh seafood from Hawaii, chicken, not to mention our fresh homemade desserts, soups, salad dressings and more.” All of the seafood is imported exclusively from the Honolulu Fish Company. The wine list was also expanded to include wines of famous pro golfers to coincide with the golf theme of the restaurant. Such wines include Ernie Els, Greg Norman, and Arnold Palmer.

This is a special invitation for everyone to join in celebrating the Tavern’s 2-year anniversary. For those out-of-towners that might not be as familiar with Snead’s, not only is it known for great steaks and fine food but it is also one of the few restaurants in the Poconos offering 3 levels of outdoor dining. The views from the wall of windows are pristine while it overlooks the Tillinghast Approach Golf Course and the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area. In addition, the Tavern houses a “Full Swing” Golf Simulator in the sports bar where patrons have the ability to choose from a huge selection of golf courses from all over the world. Local entertainment is also on stage Wednesday through Saturday and on holidays.

On the 15th Snead’s will be featuring Zac Lawless from 9pm - Midnight. Zac brings a fresh blend of rock, blues, folk, hip hop, funk and soul to the stage. Armed with his guitar and harmonica techniques along with his unique vocals he plays a variety of musical styles !

On the 16th Snead’s will host Roy Ramos from 3pm – 7pm. With a soulful voice and acoustic guitar Roy Ramos delivers a performance that is designed to embrace and entertain his audience. Dubbed the "human jukebox" by his fans, Roy's repertoire spans various genres including: pop, rock, alternative, and reggae - his song list boasts nearly 1,000 covers and originals. Following for the remaining of the evening, Jim Roberti starting at 9pm - Midnight. Jim is one of the Pocono favorites. He is a magnificent guitar player and vocalist doing cover songs and originals!
