Resort and Amenities Update
Shawnee on Delaware, Pennsylvania – The
torrential rains that affected the
entire Northeast portion of the country
and the Delaware River, brought flooding
to the Resort's golf course and the
ground level of the Inn. The resort
closed for clean-up work but has
reopened its doors on Monday, July
10th.
The Indoor Pool, Jacuzzi, Shawnee River and
Fishing Adventures, outdoor tennis
courts, sand volleyball court, and
lawn games and activities are available.
Other facilities that were not affected
by the flood are Sam Snead’s
Tavern, Buckwood Bakery & Café and Shawnee Playhouse.
The precautionary measures taken prior to the flood, combined
with the hard work and diligence of our employees and staff, have
allowed for a timely cleanup. The lower level “dens glass
walls” – water resistant drywall - is drying well as
expected, which will allow for wallpaper
and carpeting to be reinstalled during
the next few days. Nine holes of the 27-hole Championship Golf
Course and the Tillighast Approach Golf Course are still closed
and under maintenance repair.
Please pardon the appearance of our
grounds; Mother Natures has left her mark on our normally manicured
landscape. Our sincere apologies for any inconveniences this may
cause. For further questions, call 800.SHAWNEE or visit www.shawneeinn.com.
