“Open House Virtual Tour” Invite

A picture speaks 1,000 words. This is true. However, what if the picture is interactive and can lead you through a detailed tour of a room, a hotel or an entire golf course? In the eyes of the management team at Shawnee, this picture expresses many more words to its viewers. For this reason, The Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort is very pleased to announce the release of its newly upgraded online virtual tours.

Several years ago, when virtual tours were still in their infancy, The Shawnee Inn became one of the first resorts in the Poconos to implement this technology on its website. At this time, the technology was not nearly as advanced as it is today, as picture clarity and usability suffered noticeably. Now in 2007, with the help of Charlie King and Chas Media, The Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort is quite proud to display its vast improvements through these cutting edge tours. Not only are they generally fun to look at, but these online tours are also quite beneficial for guests trying to make a buying decision. They give a very accurate representation of a property’s specific room types and are readily available 24/7. Rob Howell, General Manager of the Shawnee Inn, explains, “With today’s growing trends in e-marketing, virtual tours are a must. We all have busy lives, and virtual tours were created to make people’s lives a little bit easier. It’s a win/win for us all.”

Working with Chas Media, the Shawnee Inn will implement 20 new high definition virtual tours onto its website. The first phase of this project, a cluster of nine tours, highlight the newly remodeled Cottages located on the banks of the scenic Delaware River and adjacent to the historic Shawnee Inn. These three cottages - Cedar, Sycamore and Riverside (still under construction) - have undergone major interior and exterior renovations and now feature a combination of spacious living rooms, hardwood floors, river stone fireplaces, studies, suites with sitting areas, master baths with Jacuzzis, lofts, kitchenettes and breathtaking views. Additionally equipped with fine linens, plush furniture, and logo robes, these cottages are very unique and are sure to meet the expectations of today’s travelers. They comfortably sleep 4-8 guests, depending on which cottage you choose.
