THREE TENORS RETURN TO SHAWNEE FOR THE
8th YEAR
The
Three Tenors have performed at Shawnee
for eight years now. “The performance
has been such a success that we were
delighted to be able to provide audiences
with a spectacular night of entertainment,” said
Rob Howell, General Manager. “This
will be the second year that we offer
the ‘Show Only’ rate for
people that just want to come for
the performance since the Dinner & Show
Package sells out quickly”.
This year’s annual concert will be Saturday, January 20th
at The Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort in the grand Worthington Ballroom.
Following dinner, operatic singers Garry Grice, Paul McIlvaine
and Thomas Poole will entertain the audience with a night of listening
enjoyment. The performance will be accompanied by piano.
The dinner starts at 6 p.m. and features “A Taste of Italy” with
the main course including Chicken Parmesan and Pasta, Salad, Garlic
Bread, Dessert, Glass of Wine, and a cash bar. The performance
will begin at 8 p.m.
The performance consists of a 70-minute
celebration of famous tenor songs and arias. These extraordinary
tenors – have thrilled audiences in New York, Munich, San
Francisco, Cairo, New Orleans, Philadelphia, Taiwan, Calgary, Washington
D.C., the Festival of Spoleto and Bermuda. Their concert credits
include The New York Philharmonic and the Symphony Orchestra of
New Orleans, Milwaukee, Kansas City, Portland, Dayton and Annapolis.
Their repertoire includes such famous tenor roles as Badames,
Alfredo, Hoffman, Otello, Manrico and Don Jose.
“We are expecting a great turnout and by offering the show
only rate, we will be able to accommodate a large number of people
that love to attend the show,” says Mónica Startari,
Marketing Director.
