Open 8:00am-4:30pm and most park roads and areas are open year-round.There is no fee to enter Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area. However, expanded Amenity Fees are charged April through October at the following developed areas in the park. The Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area boasts 70,000 acres of wildlife viewing area, which is complimentary to visit.

A Wildlife Viewing Platforms is located next to the park's headquarters where guests can observe the natural floral and fauna along with the local reptiles, amphibians, and birds in a self-tour of the grounds. Bald eagle nest, river otters, and in the early spring and the fall the river road is closed for the wildlife migration. The Monroe County Conservation District’s Environmental Education Center provides year-round environmental education programs for people of all ages. The Center is dedicated to fostering community awareness through first-hand experience of the natural environment of the Poconos.

The Education Center is located at the County-owned Kettle Creek Wildlife Sanctuary near Bartonsville and the The Kettle Creek Wildlife Sanctuary itself is a 166 acre preserve. This 13,000 sq. foot facility contains the Administrative and Technical offices of the Conservation District. It also houses the Kettle Creek Environmental Education Center on its second floor.

The Pocono Wildlife Rehabilitation and Education Center is a place where injured and orphaned wild animals are cared for until they can fend for themselves, when they are released back to the wild. We also offer live wildlife educational programs using animals not releasable to the wild. Tannersville Cranberry Bog Preserve

The Tannersville Cranberry Bog or Cranberry Swamp, is a sphagnum bog on the Cranberry Creek in Tannersville, Pennsylvania.The Environmental Educators will explain the Bog’s formation, its interesting plant and animal life, and the role the local Preserve Committee and The Nature Conservancy play in its continued protection. Over 2 ½ hours, we will explore the floating boardwalk and the surrounding area of the bog.

There are trail cams throughout the property which have recorded many wildlife visitors such as white-tailed deer, bobcat, fisher, wild turkeys, and owls to name a few.

Bog Walks are offered on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays throughout the spring, summer, and fall. Pre-registration is required and limited. Please call Kettle Creek Environmental Education Center at 570-629-3061.
