How We Met...

It all started on a quiet street in South Allentown where we were neighbors. Ron had lived there for a few years when I bought my house. Who pursued who…? Well, that depends who you ask! After we had been dating for some time, our friends and family would repeatedly ask “When are you guys going to get married?” Ron would repeatedly answer “ In May, may the day never come!” (Note the engagement date below!)

The Engagement...
Date: May 13th, 2006

We were spending the weekend at our cabin in the Poconos to get away from what had been a stressful semester for me. Ron had vowed that we would relax all weekend and he did his best to pamper me. Together, we prepared dinner and enjoyed a romantic candlelight atmosphere. After dinner Ron got down on his knee and gave me the biggest surprise I could have imagined. I was completely shocked! The fact that it was in May certainly made for a great story!

I graduated from Nazareth High School in 1995. I went on to Kutztown University and eventually completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. I have been employed with KidsPeace for 8 years as a Treatment Team Supervisor. I recently made a switch and although still employed with KidsPeace, I am now working in the Admissions Department. In my free time I enjoy traveling, shopping, sports (GO PATRIOTS!!), reading, camping, kayaking and gatherings with friends and family.

Name: Ronald Peter Kostik II
Hometown: Allentown, PA

Ron graduated from Dieruff High School and then began a career in law enforcement. He graduated from the Police Academy in 1999 and after doing some police work, settled into his current job as a Deputy Sheriff. He love sports, mainly Football and Hockey although any sport will do. He is a Pittsburgh Steelers fan and a Penguins fan. He also enjoy darts, camping and reading.

The Wedding...
Date: Friday, October 12th, 2007

The Ceremony will be held at 5:30 PM on the front lawn of the Shawnee Inn overlooking the Delaware River. In the case of inclement weather, the ceremony will be moved to the Veranda.

There will be a cocktail party following the ceremony from 6:30 to 7:30PM in the courtyard.

The reception will begin at 7:30PM with dinner in the Delaware Room and continue until 11:30PM.
