How They Met...

We actually knew of each other in college and socialized as friends. We started seeing each other through our good friend Sharon Clark…2 weeks before graduation. He promised me a back massage and I fell for it!!

The Engagement
Date: April, 2006

I was lying on the couch; looking terrible. He came home from work and went upstairs. All of a sudden Charlie (our puppy) came down stairs with a red ribbon tied around his collar. I was like, “what the heck is on your neck”? I called Charlie over and Ryan was standing there. I realized there was a ring tied on the ribbon and then Ryan was on his knee and asked me to marry him!! I had NO IDEA he was going to do it. Of course everyone else knew but me!

I am currently in nursing school at Cedar Crest College and will graduate this May (2007) with a bachelor’s degree in nursing. I enjoy relaxing with Ryan, going upstate NY and wine tasting, being outdoors, playing sports (competition), and playing with Charlie (our puppy).

I grew up in Hellertown, a small town just like Sarah a.k.a. “BUG”. I also went to East Stroudsburg University and graduated with a Sports Management Degree. I worked with the Eagles and Flyers in Philadelphia for a while after I graduated. I had offers around the country for other positions with other teams and better money BUT, I turned them down because I love Sarah and knew that it would be too tough to take her away from her family. Right now I am working at Northampton County Juvenile Justice Center. I also love the outdoors and playing sports. I love going to up state NY and tasting all the wines up there and going hiking with my BUG. I love anything that has to do with the Eagles, going to games and just watching them on TV. And just like Sarah I love to play with our little boy Charlie.

The Wedding...
Date: Friday, September 21st, 2007

The ceremony will be held on the Front Lawn of The Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort at 4:00 pm.

There will be a cocktail party immediately following the ceremony at 5:00 pm on the Veranda of The Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort.

The reception will be held at 6:00 pm in The Worthington Ballroom of The Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort.

*The cocktail hour will begin approximately at 5:00 pm and the reception will start at 6:00 pm. Please dress up for this occasion!!

So far the plan is to have a rehearsal dinner on Thursday Evening Sept. 20th for our out of town guests and bridal party. Time – TBA; Location – Most likely The Shawnee Inn.

**I am also working on getting a golf scramble together for the day before the wedding, Sept. 20th around noontime or so, some time before the rehearsal.
