The food and beverage department is now accepting applications for a paid internship. The primary responsibility will be helping to develop, maintain, and operate the 28th Hole, a seasonal outlet. Job functions include, but are not limited to, menu development, procedure development, hiring, operation, and management of the outlet. Hours are Wednesday through Sunday – 40 hours per week.
Conference and Banquets
The Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort is now hiring a Conference Services Manager.
This position requires detailed execution of all banquet event orders generated by the Convention Services Department, creating the desired outcomes, and meeting clients' needs through active communication, planning, and team leadership. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Supervise staff of up to 8 people
- Schedule employees based on business levels
- Interact with guests on day of function
- Ensure positive guest experience during event
- Maintain payroll punch reports and attendance book
- Train conference staff
- Support Banquet Manager as needed
- Assign daily set-up work requirements to conference staff
- Handle guest complaints
- Requisition material/supplies as needed
- Maintain Conference inventory
- Perform yearly personnel reviews
- Ensure cleanliness and proper set-up of all function areas
Experience, Skills and Knowledge
- Prior experience in the field of hospitality with specific experience in catering sales is essential
- Minimum of 1 year within the Hospitality Industry required
- Must possess computer skills, including, but not limited to, use of Microsoft Word, Excel
- An understanding of both monthly forecasting and the annual budget process
- Understand the importance of exceeding meeting planner expectations
- Excellent creative skills to provide innovative set-ups, menus, and functions for groups

We are seeking outgoing, self-motivated individuals capable of lifting 100 pounds who possess a valid PA Driver’s License. Duties include, but are not limited to, greeting all guests, loading and unloading canoes, rafts, and kayaks on the trailer, transporting guests to and from the drop off and pick up locations, presenting safety information to guests, working with cashiers to keep track of who has returned from a trip and who is still on the river, ensuring all equipment is safe, clean, in working order and accounted for, and cleaning trash around the canoe base and beach area.
