Thrift-O-Rama for a Good Cause, this Sunday

Thursday, August 20, 2009 (Shawnee on Delaware, Pennsylvania) – Spa Shawnee and Salon is hosting a Thrift-O-Rama to benefit Women’s Resources of Monroe County on Sunday, August 23, from noon – 4:00pm.

The public is encouraged to attend Spa Shawnee and Salon's Thrift-O-Rama.  Guests of this event will have the opportunity to purchase like-new clothing at Spa Shawnee.  All of the proceeds will benefit Women’s Resources of Monroe County. 

“Spa Shawnee and Salon is proud to be the host of the Thrift-O-Rama.  Women’s Resources of Monroe County is a wonderful organization that helps families in need.  It is a great way to shop, it is a win - win, “said Kasia Siwulec, Spa Shawnee and Salon Manager.

Spa Shawnee will be hosting spa treatment demos throughout the afternoon.  A cash-bar will be available on the courtyard of the Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort featuring a tasting of their latest offering ShawneeCraft™ beer. 

All who attend will be entered for a chance to win a spa package, and gift certificates to many amenities.  Unsold items from this event will be available at ECHO, second hand store located at the corner of Main St. and 8th Ave in Stroudsburg.   

The mission of Women's Resources of Monroe County is to end violence, specifically in the areas of domestic violence and sexual assault.  While Women's Resources provides services to all victims in the community, female and male, adults, teens and children, their principal efforts are dedicated to empowering women by building awareness of legal and social rights, on the one hand, and bringing about systemic change on the other.
